Fly Away to a Film Festival

Film festivals appeal to movie buffs, movie fans, and movie makers and luckily enough there are several festivals throughout the country that cater to the needs of these people.

Film festivals are often in some of the country’s most exciting cities and are just a short ride away on a private jet. So whether you’re into movies or not, going to a film festival is the perfect opportunity to spend a few days watching movies that might be the next big thing, hobnob with celebrities, and explore exciting locations.

When most people hear the phrase “film festival” it’s only natural to think of one of the biggest film festivals ever: the Sundance Film Festival.

This festival occurs annually in January in Park City, Utah. It attracts actors, actresses, directors, producers, and everyone in between. It’s the festival where novice filmmakers hope to showcase their debuts and where movie-lovers want to go to see the next big thing.

Getting tickets to the events can be tricky, but even without tickets the entire week is something to experience in Park City and there’s always the opportunity to ski at one of the most premier resorts in the country.

Getting to Park City is easy with its proximity to Salt Lake City International Airport which is about a half an hour away from the Sundance Film Festival. Lodging is available in the many ski resorts in the area or hotels.

From Jan. 20-30 several films will be viewed in a variety of theaters in and around Park City. Some of the films getting the biggest buzz include:
